Finally! I now know my future! Partially anyway...

Happy day!! I finally have a place to live when I move up to Washington. I am going to live at a lovely apartment complex in Puyallup. It is pretty close to Tacoma and not super far from where I will be working (25 minutes or so). It seems I am doomed to commute to my work. It most certainly is NOT my favorite, but at least by this point I am used to it. I have been commuting to either an internship or to work for the last year. Anyway, I actually found out just a couple of days ago my school I will be working out and the two trainings I will get to go too. I wasn't super worried about all these things, not yet anyway. Another week and I would have started having little issues and possibly a breakdown. However, it is an amazing feeling knowing what the future will hold, in the next month at least.

On a slightly different note, this Saturday I get kicked out of my apartment in Logan, have two weeks left of work, and don't really have a place to live. I plan on bumming my way around my friends. My dear roommate Andrea (who is staying next year and therefore is not getting kicked out) is going to let me borrow her key for the next week or so, as she is going home to Soda Springs, Idaho for the next week. I am a bit worried about the landlord doing work or something in the apartment so I might just use this as a place to sleep. I think that would probably be safe. Being homeless is certainly not all that it is cracked up to be.

Yesterday, I also found out that my dear friend Jessica is going to "help" me move to Washington. The original plan was going to involve me renting a UHaul and a little trailer to pull my car Betty behind it. That was shot down when I looked at the prices. Eight hundred dollars approximately for just the truck and another $300 for the trailer. My sister and brother were going to come up with and help me move and then I was going to fly them home. All told it was going to be very expensive. That shot that down. After brainstorming with my family, I decided it would be best to just pack what I can in my little car, mail what won't fit using a nice flat rate box, buy cheap furniture when I get there, and find a friend to go with me. I think this will actually work! I was worried for a bit that I would have to travel solo, but once again i am blessed to have a friend come with me. Now I just need to find the money to spend on furniture...

I have to say that I am pretty much ready to move on. The job I have currently with Early Intervention is good, but these last two weeks and for the next two weeks I have a new hire shadowing me. Me! I have only been working there for what 2-3 months! I am also not a certified therapist yet and I am supposed to teach her how to use the tests and such. It has been really stressful, not to mention incredibly busy. I ended up with two caseloads to manage instead of one AND a person to train. I certainly got the short end of the stick here. Shoulda asked for a raise or something. Nothing against the new person, but she doesn't have her masters, only bachelors in COMD and it shows. I didn't realize how much I had learned in grad school! She is also older and has a difficult time remembering things. I know she will get it all, but it sure makes it difficult on me. Alright, I am done complaining. I just needed to let that out. That is what I get for being a nice person I guess.

The wrap up to all this craziness is that things are falling into place for my future job, just like I had faith it would. so I like to believe that faith was what I have/had anyway. One of my co-workers told me I was either crazy or very brave when I told her that I didn't have a place to live, or anyone to help me move. I definitely think it is a combination of both or perhaps a combination of something else. Either way things are working out and that is all I really care about at the moment. :)
